Mental health charity, With-you, are excited to invite you to the launch of our new online network:

The First Aiders Peer Support Network.

Responding to a physical or mental health emergency can have an impact long after the immediate situation has passed. Yet support for the people who step in to help, or witness what happens, is often limited. That’s why With-you is launching the First Aiders Peer Support Network — a supportive online space for First Aiders, Mental Health First Aiders, and emergency responders to connect, share experiences, and develop their understanding of peer support and trauma-informed approaches as an essential part of responsible first aid culture.

 

Why attend:

The network is an opportunity to: 

• Connect with others who understand the realities of responding to or witnessing serious incidents 

• Explore the emotional and psychological impact these experiences can have 

• Learn practical approaches to post-incident wellbeing and self-care 

• Share experiences, ideas and resources in a supportive, non-judgemental space 

• Develop your understanding of peer support and trauma-informed approaches 

• Help shape a growing support network for First Aiders, Mental Health First Aiders, responders and bystanders 

There is no expectation to share personal experiences or details of incidents. You are welcome to take part in whatever way feels comfortable. 

The network is open to: 

• Workplace First Aiders & Mental Health First Aiders 

• Volunteer and Community First Responders 

• Professional Emergency Services personnel 

• Others with First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, or emergency response responsibilities
• Bystanders who have witnessed traumatic first aid incidents 

Our first online meeting will take place on Thursday 3rd September, 12:00pm–1:00pm.
